Two of the core themes at Grandma’s House are, “A Nation that fails to educate it children is a nation without a future.” We also believe in the old African saying that “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child.” We are now going into our sixteenth year and these two themes have played a major role in our success.

GRANDMA’S HOUSE – Involved In the Community

AARP California 2021 Andrus Award

One of the core themes of Grandma’s House is, “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child”. Our free k – 8th grade after school tutoring program involves the community. We participate and are involved in community events.

Grandma’s House is actively involved in the community, embracing the theme, ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’

  • Each year, Grandma’s House participates in the Tulare County Fair Parade with a float, involving both its students and staff. Additionally, it operates a fireworks booth as one of its fundraisers. The community shows its support for Grandma’s House by contributing to these fundraising efforts.
