Site Supervisor and Lead Teacher
My name is Amanda Estelita. I currently have a Site Supervisor Permit, my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a certificate in Family Communication Skills, and I will have a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and a Minor in Special Education May 2020. I will be continuing my education towards a Master's in Special Education and for a Moderate to Severe and Multi-Subject Teaching Credential. I previously worked for one of Stanford's onsite preschools in the Bay Area and have over 15 years of experience working with young children.
Not only do I have one of the most rewarding occupations where I get to share in your child's discoveries, experiences, and successes, but I have the pleasure of sharing it with you, their family - the most important people to them in their whole world. I truly believe that families are a child's first teacher and I have the fortune of partnering with you to share in those experiences.
Teacher
My name is Celeste Ontiveros. This will be my first year teaching and I am glad to be starting at Grandma's House Preschool. It is where I did my classroom observations and developed my passion for working with young children. I graduated with my degree in Child Development from the College of Sequoias and I am excited to use my knowledge I learned in the classroom. I especially enjoy doing music and movement with the children and art. I believe that art is a time children can use their creativity to experiment with a new ideas, materials, and really create something no one ever has before! I knew from a young age that I wanted to work with children and help them develop their academic skills and I can't wait to be a part of your child's learning experiences here at Grandma's House Preschool. I grew up in Tulare, California, and am proud that I can be a part of the community through teaching.
Associate Teacher
My name is Michelle Sumey. I believe in teaching children and treating them like they are family. I believe that if you can find a way to connect to children by treating them like their voice matters. When you meet people, you meet them exactly where they are in their life, therefore, if your going to love your people love them for who they are and who they dream to be!
